Responsibilities

Deploy and support technology platforms to for trading in listed markets and vanilla flow products, including and not limited to: cash equities, listed derivatives, listed repos, listed bonds, and other flow products.
Manage the upgrade and integration of vendor platforms, as well as in-house built solutions.  The coverage includes retail, institutional clients, client facilitation, and principal investment strategies.
Set IT strategy to align with business plans. Establish budgets and track expenditure.
Build a strong team of DevOps, product managers, and QA.  This involves hiring, training, and retaining talent.
Partner and guide the work of all internal IT teams and external vendors, to support the entire exchange traded product lifecycle – from sales, execution, post-trade, product control, and risk management.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Support GF’s expansion into regional and global markets.

Requirement

5 or more years of experience building and supporting systems to trade and process SEHK, China-Connect, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and US markets. Experience with other markets in Asia, Middle-east, and Europe is highly desirable.
Hands-on experience with technology components supporting the full lifecyle of listed products: FIX engines, OMS, EMS, algos, exchange connectivity, position-keeping, risk management, market data feeds, and analytics calculation engines.
Practical experience with high-resilience, high-volume, low-latency, globally-deployed  technology architectures:  real-time messaging, in-memory management, guaranteed delivery and persistence, and cloud hosting.
Ability to manage crisis situations; practiced 3 C’s of command, control, and communicate.
Experience working with vendor platforms, especially Hundsun, Fidessa, Bloomberg EMSX, and Tora.
Experience in front-to-back flows, covering the whole lifecycle of a trade from order-routing, trade execution, booking, confirmation, settlement, compliance, product control, and regulatory reporting.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory policies governing trading in public markets: exchange rules, off-exchange crossing, algo trading, trade reporting, and best execution.
Experience building and leading teams of 5-12 staff.
Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, applied math, or other technical fields.
Strong personality and communication skills. The ability to take command and exert gravity on a trading floor is highly desirable.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is preferred.
Ability to work in a hands-on manner, in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
