Head of Sales Technology

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement technology platforms to support GF’s sales activities and to service clients, including but not limited to CRM (Client Relationship Management), advertising (IoI, Axes), quoting tools, business intelligence reports, and analytics such as TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis).
  • Provide timely intelligence for the trading and sales community, as well as business management reporting for business planning and revenue tracking.  Support analysis of client profitability and sales effectiveness.
  • Build strong partnerships with key constituents:  sales, trading, structurers, senior management, and counterparts in HQ.
  • Perform quality assurance to ensure accuracy of data and reliability of business intelligence and analytic reports.
  • Train all constituents in the use of systems – in addition to deploying systems and producing reports, providing value-added service is a key responsibility of this role.
  • Support all product lines and business units in GF.
  • Grow a strong virtual team of up to 8 permanent and outsourced staff.

Requirement

  • 5 or more years of experience building and supporting CRM, reporting frameworks, advertising tools, quoting tools, TCA, and external client portals.
  • Experience supporting all business divisions: global markets (includes retail & institutional clients, flow and exotic derivatives, structured products), IBD, ECM/DCM, asset management, private wealth management, and principal investment strategies.
  • Familiarity with all traded products in a securities brokerage: cash equites, futures & options, derivatives, FICC, and structured products.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory policies governing investment banks, particularly those related to data leakage protection, access segregation, and wall crossing.
  • Experience with leading CRM software (Saleforce.com, Oracle CRM) or multi-asset in-house-built platform is highly desirable.
  • Experience with data modelling and algorithms that support client profitability analysis, sales credits, and cross-sales coverage is highly desirable.
  • Experience with content distribution, client quoting and trading tools, and reports for external counterparties and regulators is highly desirable.
  • Experience building and leading virtual teams of 4-8 staff.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, applied math, or other technical fields.
  • Proven ability to communicate and build strong working relationships with sales and trading staff, department heads, and senior executive suite.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on manner, in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
